Welcome to Southwold, a somewhat more upscale seaside town. Or village. I’m never sure when a village becomes a town.
The subject of this post is Beach Huts. You’ve seen them before in my Felixstowe post. To review: they are essentially toolsheds on leased land by the beach. You can’t spend the night in one. You wouldn’t want to anyway since they have no power or water. But they’re cute and often have cute names.
But as a value proposition, they seem as crazy as houseboats in Seattle. These little beauties sell for US$235,000 and up!
But, unlike Felixstowe, you get a front porch.
